Budget Public Hearing Notice

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

CITY OF ORANGEBURG BUDGET

Pursuant to Section 6-1-80 of the SC Code of Laws

Pursuant to Section 6-1-80 of the SC Code of Laws, public notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Orangeburg will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 6:00 pm in Council Chamber, located at 933 Middleton Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on the proposed City Budget for the Fiscal year October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. The proposed budget ordinance amendment does not result in any change to the millage rate.

Citizens are encouraged to attend and present their views, either verbally or in writing.  Public comments may also be made by emailing publiccomment@orangeburg.sc.us.  An appointment is not necessary for inclusion on the Public Hearing portion of the agenda.  Assistance will be provided upon request to accommodate individuals with special needs attending the meeting.  Special assistance request should be made to the Administrator’s Office at (803) 533-6000 twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled Public Hearing.

*This increase is comprised of two grant funded capital projects which are State and Federal Grants totaling $6,798,000. 

The City has budgeted a local match funded from the upcoming Capital Projects Sales Tax of $358,000.
