Fire Protection Contracts
The City will no longer be entering into individual fire service contracts with property owners outside its municipal limits and fire service charges will no longer be billed directly by the City. Instead, your property will be incorporated into the Orangeburg County Fire District, a special tax district created by Orangeburg County Council. As a result of this change, the cost for fire services will be included in the annual property tax bill that you receive from Orangeburg County.
